Coming Together As One
FaithBridge is the union of two west Manchester churches, South Main Street Church and Grace Haven Baptist Church.
South Main Street Church was established in 1883, at the meeting house in Hickman Square, on the corner of South Main and Milford Streets. The current building dates from 1917. In January of 2011 the leadership of South Main Street Church chose to blend with another church rather than undertake a traditional pastor search.
In June of 2005, Rich Clegg and Matt Hasty, along with their wives and children, moved to Manchester, NH to start Grace Haven Baptist Church. By the spring of 2011 the church had outgrown its storefront location and had begun to search for another location in west Manchester.
After several months of prayer and planning, the memberships of both churches voted unanimously to become one congregation on December 4, 2011. FaithBridge Church held its first service on January 8, 2012.
